EYP 2005, Wyboston Lakes Conference & Training Centre, Wyboston, Bedford 13-15 May 2005
If you can't take the sample to the lab, take the lab to the sample.
This theme is particularly timely, as while analytical scientists must acknowledge constantly
evolving sampling and analytical measurement techniques, the question about where postsampling
analysis is performed is becoming increasingly important. EYP 2005 will highlight
appropriate strategies for different analytical problems where such decisions have been a focus.

Non-covalent Interactions in Chemistry and Biology, Department of Chemistry, University of Cambridge. 15 - 17 September 2004
Non covalent interactions are essentially the basis of the order necessary for biological
function and are vital for maintaining the folded structure of proteins, the double helix
and for numerous recognition processes. This conference will consider, from various perspectives,
questions pertaining to the nature of non covalent interactions. Specifically how non
covalent interactions have been exploited by evolution for example in the sophistication of
enzymes and the fine tuning of the interactions necessary for regulating macromolecular machines.
